Once all is organized and the house is almost packed it is sooooo important to have your overnight boxes ready for majority of the rooms, as well as local Take-Away menus and chilled Wine
Why are those overnight boxes important?
Well, once the excitement and emotions go down you will feel exhausted. Last thing you would like to do once moved in is to start searching franticly amongst tons of boxes looking for your toothbrush or your favorite mug or wine glass to have the well deserved beverage. The truth is – There will be boxes upon boxes in every room, in order to not get overwhelmed by them and just enjoy the first night is to have it all ready beforehand. That’s where the overnight boxes come to the rescue. Those 5-10 boxes are all you need to get through that first night. Once you go through them, Order a take away, put a telly on and give yourself a big pat on the back! You did it! You are in your new home and the full unpacking process can begin once you have had the well deserved rest.
Here is what we suggest the boxes should consist off:
- MAIN BEDROOM: pj’s, change of clothes, various chargers, bedding
- CHILDRENS BEDROOM: black-out blinds, favorite toy, pj’s, bedding, change of clothes, electronic devices, night light
- KITCHEN: kettle, toaster, kitchen towel, some cups and glasses, tea/coffee/juice/milk etc. And maybe toast or cereal so you have something ready for the morning.
- BATHROOM: toiletries, towels, toilet roll, medication
- LIVING ROOM: tv remote, blankets, cleaning wipes
- PETS: comforting blanket, chewee toys, food and drink bowls, pet food
